Hi, I’m Chad Hampton.

My practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate administration, along with selected business and transactional matters.

I work directly with my clients to understand what they are trying to accomplish, explain the available options in plain English, and develop a practical path forward.

Whether we are planning for the future or working through an estate after someone has died, I try to keep the process understandable, efficient, and as stress-free as reasonably possible.

Why I Practice This Way

I started my own practice because I wanted the freedom to practice law in a straightforward, personal way.

Clients should be able to talk directly with the lawyer handling their matter. They should understand what they are signing, why it matters, and what the process is likely to look like.

I also do not believe clients should be pushed toward a more complicated solution simply because it sounds more sophisticated. The right legal plan is the one that fits the family, the assets, and the goals.

I try to give clients the kind of responsiveness, practical advice, and personal attention I would want for my own family.

Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Business Transactions through the Clayton Center for Entrepreneurial Law.

Graduated as the top graduate in the Business Transactions concentration and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Deep Roots in Maryville

My wife and I are lifelong Maryville residents, and this is the community where we have raised our family.

Over the years, I have served on the Maryville City Schools Board of Education and on the boards of various community organizations including the Maryville City Schools Foundation, Wesley Day School, New Hope Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Blount County Public Library Foundation.

Knowing the community and the people who live here is one of the things I value most about maintaining a local practice.
